  • Participants will either begin to develop or deepen their facilitation skills, learn to adapt activities for different audience, and practice managing group dynamics with confidence and cultural awareness.

    Series of 2-4 sessions with optional coaching follow-up

Facilitating Leadership Learning:

A Train-the-Trainer for Student Development

  • Equipping educators, staff, and peer leaders to effectively facilitate and sustain student leadership programs grounded in inclusive, developmental, and research-informed practices.

  • This train-the-trainer expereince prepares participants to design, lead, and assess student leadership development initiatives through a learner-centered and equity-minded approach. Participants explore how leadership identity forms over time, how to facilitate growth across difference, and how to integrate reflection and community engagement into leadership learning.

    The experience centers leadership as a behavior rooted in agency, collaboration, and cultural awareness, rather than title or role.

    Format:

    • Intensive: Two-day in-person or virtual workshop combining theory, applied facilitation, and feedback.

    • Series: 4–6 sessions (90 minutes each) designed for ongoing development with practice and coaching between sessions.

    • Hybrid: Blended learning model with asynchronous reflection and synchronous facilitation labs.

    • Understand and apply core student leadership and developmental theories to program design.

    • Facilitate engaging, inclusive, and reflective learning experiences for student leaders.

    • Strengthen coaching and feedback practices that foster student growth and self-awareness.

    • Translate leadership outcomes into meaningful activities and community impact.

    • Assess and adapt curriculum for diverse learning contexts and populations.

    • Curriculum Design Support: Collaborative development or revision of your organization’s student leadership curriculum and facilitator guide.

    • Assessment & Reporting: Pre/post-session participant surveys, learning outcome reports, and recommendations for program improvement.

    • Facilitation Coaching: Individual or small-group coaching sessions to deepen facilitation confidence and refine delivery techniques.
